The Uhuru Ruto Political Affair

Not so long from now according to my good friend Arafat, the Uhuru Ruto story may read like this."The whole theme of fate, story of sadistic political pleasure, scheming and a game of survival in the new regime: President Kenyatta shall be Commander in Chief, but Hon Ruto will not be deputy Commander in Chief. President Kenyatta will strive to leave a legacy that is purely his, and Hon Ruto's undoing would be to try and out-shine his master Uhuru Kenyatta. Remember Ruto is brilliant, ambitious, energetic and will want to demonstrate that he is a performer., so he will want to show smartness. If such happens, not Uhuru but Uhuru's handlers and the hidden "öwners" of the Uhuru presidency will tactfully work to deflate Ruto. In this effort, they will want to portray Ruto as a "trophy" political companion, aware that Uhuru desperately needed Ruto so as to win the presidency but he doesn't need Ruto to sustain the presidency and a legacy. At this point, Uhuru will start emerging as his own man and top politician who is not necessarily using Ruto as political crutches. If it gets here, the Kalenjin community will have a sense of loss and feel betrayed a second time, with the conclusion that Ruto misled them yet again. They will not want to trust him again. They will start grooming and fanning a different youthful leader to rival Ruto. If the elders distrust Ruto, then he would be an underling and his fate would be like that of Julius Caesar. Uhuru then would be keen to spruce up and work with such new Kalenjin leader with the support of Luhya, Maasai and possibly coastal point-men. Uhuru's interest would be to reduce Ruto's political muscle with a keen eye on winning the second term."
Call it the wish of naysayers or just call it what you will but i think this is not so different from the real script we shall be reading within the year.
