The Uhuru Ruto Political Affair

Not so long from now according to my good friend Arafat, the Uhuru Ruto story may read like this."The whole theme of fate, story of sadistic political pleasure, scheming and a game of survival in the new regime: President Kenyatta shall be Commander in Chief, but Hon Ruto will not be deputy Commander in Chief. President Kenyatta will strive to leave a legacy that is purely his, and Hon Ruto's undoing would be to try and out-shine his master Uhuru Kenyatta. Remember Ruto is brilliant, ambitious, energetic and will want to demonstrate that he is a performer., so he will want to show smartness. If such happens, not Uhuru but Uhuru's handlers and the hidden "öwners" of the Uhuru presidency will tactfully work to deflate Ruto. In this effort, they will want to portray Ruto as a "trophy" political companion, aware that Uhuru desperately needed Ruto so as to win the presidency but he doesn't need Ruto to sustain the presidency and a legacy. At this point, Uhuru will start emerging as his own man and top politician who is not necessarily using Ruto as political crutches. If it gets here, the Kalenjin community will have a sense of loss and feel betrayed a second time, with the conclusion that Ruto misled them yet again. They will not want to trust him again. They will start grooming and fanning a different youthful leader to rival Ruto. If the elders distrust Ruto, then he would be an underling and his fate would be like that of Julius Caesar. Uhuru then would be keen to spruce up and work with such new Kalenjin leader with the support of Luhya, Maasai and possibly coastal point-men. Uhuru's interest would be to reduce Ruto's political muscle with a keen eye on winning the second term."
Call it the wish of naysayers or just call it what you will but i think this is not so different from the real script we shall be reading within the year.

Reckless Leadership : Uhuru's presidency

Uhuru Kenyatta could have made it well well if only he could tame his mouth. We know not any sensible leader who spits allover the place without a care in the world and still be able to move a country forward. Even those who thought they were very able like Gaddafi finally fell pray to their own foolishness. Bright minds will tell you its a matter of time befor real demons come chasing after Uhuru...this time round he will wish he never punked Musalia.

MUsalia Mudavadi...life and times

Like the prodigal son , Musalia came of age after being given some leeway in ODM and he though the had his inheritance. The young man wanted to enjoy life on his own , so he packed his bags and left for the city. Little did he know what lay ahead. There are many a dark forces in the city, pretty girls and all manner of goodies. If only our son listen to the advice of the old, the  story would be even more interesting.

any bright mind knows the end of this story, but may be its the beginning you want to hear the most....drop me a line..

Kenya:Polititians and Bought Degrees

With the promulgation of the new Constitution, Kenyan politicians seems to find themselves between a hard place and a rock. The new law now demands that members of the respective houses should have the minimum of a collage degree. Seeing as it is, not many of the current members fit in this bill. It is claimed that a good number of them have gone out of their way to buy degrees in order for them to comply with the law and thus secure at best  a nomination to contest in the coming elections.

The Elections Act 2011, requires that one is a holder of a degree to qualify to contest for either governor and senate seat. Section 22 of the Act states, "a person may be nominated as a candidate for election as president, deputy president, county governor or deputy county governor, only if the person is a holder of degree from a university recognized in Kenya.

It seems this lot will do just anything so as to remain in the lame light.

Rescueing Somalia-AU progress

Much as it seems that the thurde was stolen fron KDF by Amison through the AU, Kenya must be remebered to have dared throw the first stone. The action by KDF set the ball rolling for vigourous action from the African Union and the international community. The fruits of the labour of the Kenyan soldiers is slow paying with the capture of another strong hold of the condemned group. Slowly Somalia is assuming semblence to sanity and its now up to the people of this would be great nation to put their feet forward and chart the way to a peaceful and prospeous Somalia.
